Lilypie 3rd Birthday Ticker

One of the cutest things ever is my daughter trying to drink from a cup. She watches people drinking, and smacks her lips. So, as a joke, I started putting cups and glasses to her mouth.

Well, she picked it up quickly, and now she will make it known she wants her "own glass" and will take water like a Big Girl.

Spills occur, but the best is the "ahhhhh" sound she makes at the end.

If I had my digital voice recorder, I would have captured it. Instead, you just have to watch the video. Warning: cuteness overload.

And I like this site so much: www.orisinal.com

The bubbles and lady bugs game makes me think of my daughter when she finally gets around to having more mobility...

Mile Stone: Beanie Turned Over Last Night! This of course pales to the sitting milestone that she met a month ago. Still. I've been waiting. I guess the next thing is crawling?

Mobility is coming fast...

Oh my goodness - your child is a genius! That is so adorable. She is such a smart cookie. God, her little face is precious. You and Steve make really cute humans.

You are right: Cuteness overload, indeed.

Too funny that she decided to sit before turning over. Didn't she read the manual? Turning over comes first. What next? Getting her PhD before she starts school?

She might be smarter than she's letting on, but the cup thing I think is pretty normal for little kids. She likes her sippy cup too, but gets really excited by an actual Glass Of Water. Which could be autism. The turning over thing bothered me so much I didn't really pay much attention to the sitting until the nurse cocked an eyebrow at my worries and said "dude, you are a weirdo."

Yay Beanie! Ack, you mentioned the "A" word. I used to get worried about Roan. It didn't help that she didn't talk until she was two.
I *heart* me some Beanie. I can't wait until she's mobile and she and baby Sage can start knocking each other over.

Yeah, I kind of say that all the time now that I went to an anti-vaccination lecture (note: my kid is fully vaccinated for her age) and they said everything she's had can cause autism. It's horrible. I know it. Part of me feels really bad and jinxy, part of me feels like my kid drinking water from a glass and sitting up a month early is a snub to the hippie lady who didn't shave her pits who told me I was insane to get Hep B vaccinated for no reason.
